Homeless Shelter at St. Mark's

Interfaith Hospitality Network has been operating out of various churches for over 24 years, and in November 2017 we were finally lucky enough to move into a fixed site at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Goshen!

Benefits of Fixed Site for our Volunteers and Guests

  • Close proximity to the IHN day center (a 10 minute walk)
  • Across the street from Chamberlain Elementary School
  • Close to the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen
  • Allows for paid overnight staff to be provided by Faith Mission of Elkhart
  • Greatly reduces displacement and disruption in our guests' lives
  • Increases services to include homeless single female guests
  • Increases flexibility to allow the possibility of new churches and volunteers to participate
